Whimsical Florals

Black + White Elegance

SOMETHING BLUE

RACHEL + JOSH

SOMETHING BLUE

The seed of inspiration came from blue china.  Rachel wanted florals and opted for blue because it’s Josh’s favorite color.  The invitation suite pulled from her love of natural materials, whimsical watercolors and her love of and oragnic, “imperfect” and “slightly undone but put together feel”

The save the date(s)

There were two rounds of Save the Dates for Rachel + Josh - they had to put their wedding on hold during the pandemic.  The original Save the Date included an abstract blue watercolor print with a vellum overlay with their verbiage attached with a gold brad clip and blue envelopes with hand lettered addresses in white ink.  For their second Save the Date - they opted for something a little different still tying into their original Save the Date.  A black & white  (intentionally) out of focus image from their engagement session with a similar vellum overlay with their verbiage this time attached with the clip in black.

The Invitation suite:

The Invitation

Save The Dates

The cards in this invitation suite were designed to be layered on top of each other, each piece slightly shorter than the last so the card’s title can be read.   The Invitation pulled in the florals and dreamy watercolor Rachel wanted with a mix of hand lettering and print for the invitation’s verbiage.  The details and RSVP cards were printed on blue colored card stock, printed with white ink, and the tops were hand deckled.  They let their sense of humor shine through in their RSVP card wording.  The cards were kept together with a subtle gold thread tied around the suite - knotted in the back.  Rachel + Josh opted for a mix of multiple shades of blue envelopes for their invitations - guests received envelopes of different colors - with hand lettered addresses in white ink.

Keeping with their whimsical dreamy blues Rachel + Josh opted for lots of fabric details, ombre blues and special personal touches for their guests on their wedding day.
