The custom invitation process with Flowered Words focuses on you. It’s so easy to get lost in Pinterest & TikTok trends. Your wedding (or event) is about you and should be a representation of who you are. I love getting to know you, learning about your love story, and coming up with out of the box ideas.

The Process

Custom Invitations

ONE

We’ll chat and get to know each other & talk about your event, your style, your story and budget so I can fully understand your vision. After our call*, you’ll receive a mood board and/or a sketch with design directions for you to chose from with pricing estimates.

* note - a non-refundable retainer is required before any design work start

The Vision


TWO

You’ll choose a design direction based off of the sketches/mock-ups I sent. This is a good time to hop on another phone call to discuss the designs. We’ll hone in on the best design for you & perfect it through three rounds of notes & proofs.

* your first payment will be due before items are send into production

THREE

When you’ve approved your final invitation design - you can sit back and relax. Your design will be sent into production. Depending on the printing processes and intricacy of your suite it can take about a month for all of your materials to arrive for me to assemble

  • A bespoke invitation set created specifically for and inspired by you. Through a series of calls, mood boards and proofs, we’ll work together to create something completely unique and special for your event!

  • If you see some current or past designs on the site that you like and/or have a tighter time frame. This might be a better option for you. You still get the benefit of customizing certain elements of the design for example your names or venue hand lettered, but the main design elements will remain unchanged.

    This helps to keep the cost down for you, while still having a wedding suite with a hand touch.

  • This, of course, depends on what elements your invitations include. A standard custom suite with digital printing takes about 6 weeks. A more custom set with specialized printing (like letterpress) could take between 8-12 weeks.

  • Yes!

    I love collaborating and coming up with fun unique things that feel like you. Options are (but are not limited to) Menus, Place Cards, Escort Cards, Gift Boxes, Cloth Gift Bags, champagne glasses, greeting cards, guest bag tags, guest bag cards, stickers, labels.

If you love that artist, that is wonderful and I encourage you to get in touch with them specifically to help you with your designs.
